The de Grummond Children's Literature
Collection
The main focus is
on American and British children's literature, historical and
contemporary. Founded in 1966 by Dr. Lena Y. de Grummond, the
Collection holds the original manuscripts and illustrations of
more than 1200 authors and illustrators, as well as 100,000+
published books dating from 1530 to the present. Part of Special
Collections, the de Grummond Collection is housed in the McCain
Library and Archives on the campus of The University of Southern
Mississippi.

Children's Literature
Research Collections
The CLRC, an internationally recognized resource in the field
of childrens literature, contain six core collections and
several smaller collections. They are the Kerlan Collection of
Children's Literature, the Hess Collection of Dime Novels, Story
Papers, and Series Books, the Paul Bunyan Collection, the Laura
Jane Musser Collection of Oziana materials, and the Illustrated
Treasure Island Collection. The CLRC is continually expanding
its holdings in historical and other areas. The collections are
available for the use in the Andersen Library under certain restrictions.

CLRC-1214
The collection contains written and illustrative production material
for five titles published between 1944 and 1973 with Harper.
The original art work includes pencil sketches, ink and water
illustrations, and blueprint sheets. Original manuscript material
includes corrected typescripts, galley proofs, correspondence,
bookmark and miscellaneous material.
