I found the film It's Complicated refreshing
to watch for a middle-aged adult romantic comedy that didn't
get out of whack with all stupid slapstick dumb silly humor.
I think the best thing I can say about
this movie is that I just enjoyed watching -- and had no idea
it was going to be this entertaining.
Meryl Streep makes things work by her ability
to look, feel, and make things believable.
This film is lots better than the trailer
shows.

Meryl Streep's acting skills outweigh the
schmaltziness of this rather lightweight romantic comedy about
a lonely divorcee dating an architect while having an affair
with her ex-husband.
It's not as predictable as you might imagine
and contains some extremely funny moments. |
Nancy Meyers, writer and director of the
adult romantic comedy It's Complicated, stands ready to
become the number one top woman director in career domestic box
office sales if this movie does well.
This fairy-tale fantasy is about the luck
of a middle-aged successful woman who is rich enough to handle
a good standard of living after a 19-year marriage that ended
in divorce.
The complications and comedy begins when
the ex-wife is desired, all over again, by her ex-husband when
they bumped into each other at a family graduation.
It seems their intimacy doesn't dissolve
just because their union has. |
