If you're a fan of Jack Nicholson and Morgan
Freeman, you're in for a grand time.
The twist is they both meet in the hospital,
where they are being treated for cancer, and find out they only
have a few months to live.
The two create a bucket list -- which is
a list of things you want to do before you kick the bucket.
This is not a make-you-cry movie; actually
most of the tears will come from laughter.
Just imagine the fun you could have with
absolutely nothing to lose and a billionaire's bank account at
your disposal.
Also, it's a great date movie as a bonus. |
While the film is basically a road trip
movie with two great actors, the premise is both ridiculous and
misguided.
Should everyone diagnosed with cancer throw
caution to the wind and fulfill their life's desires? Well, yea
and no.
Life is for living and waiting to find
out when death is near is no excuse for lethargy.
However, Nicholson and Freeman are just
who they are, and still make the trip worthwhile. |
The movie is a sentimental comedy about
two old men who meet in a cancer ward.
They engage in a chat about life and loss,
then decide to go on a spree, roaming the globe in search of
last-chance thrills before they kick the bucket.
The film is less than picture perfect,
but there's enough humor sprinkled throughout to keep the flick
from overdosing on its own sense of seriousness. |
