It was about halfway through the picture
when I figured out that this isn't the old kind of Sandler comedy,
before I settled down to what's going on.
His character has no personality to speak
of, and it's hard to know if he wants to be serious or funny.
Anyway, there's a new, strange feel to
this romantic comedy that I didn't care for at all.
The animals were really cute, with some
funny stuff, but overall--scissors down. |
Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore reunite
in 50 First Dates, a story of a woman with total no-recall.
Drew shines, and Adam--well despite the
absence of his adolescent persona, it's still the same old schtick.
Did I mention the walrus vomit?
Poor Drew, if only she could wake up and
forget what movie she's in. |
The movie 50 First Dates is a romantic
comedy about a man who falls in love with a woman who has short-term
memory loss.
I found the idea to be a little off the
wall, and I wasn't able to buy into the whole memory loss concept.
There also are too many idiotic plot holes
for me to handle. |
