On July 14, 1994, at a dedication ceremony attended by dignitaries,
historians, friends of Ed Ricketts and John Steinbeck, and other
well-wishers, the City of Pacific Grove renamed High Street "Ricketts
Row." The corner of Ricketts Row and Fountain Avenue marks
the site of Ricketts' first lab, and the corner of Ricketts Row
and 11th Street is the location of Steinbeck's cottage. |
