PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: ON STRANGER TIDES
Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides is close to a disaster.

They tried to overload it with just too many things to watch and just a lot of talk about what's going to happen.

It should have realized that it's more interesting to actually see the drama, instead of just watching people standing around in expensive costumes and expensive sets telling us about it.

If you get the drift of my point, this is one of the laziest scripts ever.

So brace yourself for somewhat of a disappointing shipwreck
After three overblown "Pirates" films, you'd think changing directors would be a good idea.

It turns out what was needed was a good script and a good editor.

This one has neither!

The principal players are back (Jack, Barbossa, Gibbs, and even the monkey), so is the action, plus it's the shortest movie of the saga.

It's just so...ho hum, not much fun.
The fourth chapter of the Pirates of the Caribbean, is centered on one of those old mythological movie quests of the search for the legendary, magical waters of the Fountain of Youth.

This summer blockbuster seems to be designed to deliver an instant jolt, while providing the viewers with a few familiar characters and elements.

The picture lives halfway between a video game and an amusement park ride and for those who aren't looking for anything more it could be successful, but I thought the sequel has become a half-baked mess of used things from the past installments of the franchise, tossed together with dim action sequences and freely given special effects.
