MAN OF THE YEAR

Man of the Year has a real message in what I thought was only going to be a silly wacky comedy.

It shows how the electoral process isn't all that trustworthy.

Tom Dobbs, played by Robin Williams, is a late-night T.V. comedian and pundit who on a suggestion from his fans runs for president.

This movie goes from manic comedy to a moody political thriller.

I liked the way two stories came together, making for a surprising ending.

Yes, it starts out as a light comedy, but suddenly morphs into a serious political thriller (say what?).

This is definitely NOT the movie they advertised!

To make things worse, they apparently didn't tell Robin Williams.

Nice try, but too confusing to make either a comedic or a political point.

Robin Williams plays a satirical political comedian who runs for president and wins, only to discover that a voting-machine error was to blame for his fantasy win.

This comedy-thriller had its problems, but when all was said and done it did have a few truthful messages to think about.
