The
Adjustment Bureau is a romance more than a science fiction
thriller.
That's not to say the Twilight Zone aspects
of the movie aren't still there, but are reduced to the background --
and always planning ways to change things in a person's life.
I found this film emotionally satisfying -- some viewers may come for
the sci-fi premise, but most will stay because of the love story.

Beware the men in hats!
It's sci-fi with a romantic twist as Philip K. Dick's short story about
Earth-bound guardians makes its way to the big screen.
Chance encounters continually upset the complex matrix of the future as
a Congressman running for the Senate encounters the woman of his dreams.
Was it meant to be or are there mysterious forces at work?
And the biggest question of all is: will love win out?

The
Adjustment Bureau is an action romance imaginative fantasy movie.
I liked the way the conflict developed between the two lead stars and
the science fiction mind-control adjusters.
That's when the problems and action begin -- when the main characters
fall in love they mess up everything, according to plans of the
undercover agents and chairman of the adjustment board.
This creates a real struggle between free will and predestination and
gives you something to think about when you leave the theater.
